The Wexbury Evening Post

The hill weather station marks a hundred years of readings

The station was set up by a schoolmaster and has been kept by volunteers since his death. Its record is one of the longest unbroken runs in the region.

The centenary reading will be taken by the schoolmaster's great-granddaughter.

Wexbury's evening paper, invented: forty stories in five sections on a dense front, a wide stream of pictured stories beside a narrow rail of headlines, the paper's advertisers between them. A demonstration: Wexbury and its Evening Post are invented and the pictures are generated gradients. Built by plinth from EDN and Markdown; the stream's further pages are real pages and are also pulled in place where scripts run; the rail arrives when it nears the viewport and has a real page of its own.
