The Wexbury Evening Post

Soup kitchen seeks winter volunteers for the early shift

The kitchen in the chapel hall serves breakfast to anyone who comes between seven and nine. The early shift lights the stove and makes the first forty rounds of toast.

Training is a morning with the current team and a food hygiene certificate paid for by the kitchen.

Wexbury's evening paper, invented: forty stories in five sections on a dense front, a wide stream of pictured stories beside a narrow rail of headlines, the paper's advertisers between them. A demonstration: Wexbury and its Evening Post are invented and the pictures are generated gradients. Built by plinth from EDN and Markdown; the stream's further pages are real pages and are also pulled in place where scripts run; the rail arrives when it nears the viewport and has a real page of its own.
