The Wexbury Evening Post
Head of the river moves to Sunday to miss the tide
The event has been held on the Saturday since 1961, and for most of those years the crews have fought the flood tide on the upper reach. The tide tables for this October put the slack on Sunday morning.
The club expects forty crews; the towpath café opens at seven.
Wexbury's evening paper, invented: forty stories in five sections on a dense front, a wide stream of pictured stories beside a narrow rail of headlines, the paper's advertisers between them. A demonstration: Wexbury and its Evening Post are invented and the pictures are generated gradients. Built by plinth from EDN and Markdown; the stream's further pages are real pages and are also pulled in place where scripts run; the rail arrives when it nears the viewport and has a real page of its own.
