The Wexbury Evening Post

Parking charges frozen for a year after the traders' petition

The petition gathered two thousand signatures in a fortnight, most of them on the counters of the shops that fear the retail park most. The council's own figures show the car parks a quarter emptier than before the last rise.

The freeze costs the council an estimated sixty thousand pounds, which it says the market hall vote has made easier to find.

Wexbury's evening paper, invented: forty stories in five sections on a dense front, a wide stream of pictured stories beside a narrow rail of headlines, the paper's advertisers between them. A demonstration: Wexbury and its Evening Post are invented and the pictures are generated gradients. Built by plinth from EDN and Markdown; the stream's further pages are real pages and are also pulled in place where scripts run; the rail arrives when it nears the viewport and has a real page of its own.
