The Wexbury Evening Post

Council votes to keep the market hall open for two more years

The hall has lost money for six years and the roof needs forty thousand pounds of work before winter. The motion to close it in January fell by two votes after the traders packed the gallery.

The leader said the two years are not a reprieve but a deadline: a buyer, a trust or a plan, by the autumn of 2028.

Wexbury's evening paper, invented: forty stories in five sections on a dense front, a wide stream of pictured stories beside a narrow rail of headlines, the paper's advertisers between them. A demonstration: Wexbury and its Evening Post are invented and the pictures are generated gradients. Built by plinth from EDN and Markdown; the stream's further pages are real pages and are also pulled in place where scripts run; the rail arrives when it nears the viewport and has a real page of its own.
