The Wexbury Evening Post

Schoolchildren find an ammonite the size of a dinner plate

The block had come down in the summer storms and the class had been told to look at it and not touch. The ammonite was on the underside.

It is now in the school's entrance hall, next to the meter that will soon run backwards.

Wexbury's evening paper, invented: forty stories in five sections on a dense front, a wide stream of pictured stories beside a narrow rail of headlines, the paper's advertisers between them. A demonstration: Wexbury and its Evening Post are invented and the pictures are generated gradients. Built by plinth from EDN and Markdown; the stream's further pages are real pages and are also pulled in place where scripts run; the rail arrives when it nears the viewport and has a real page of its own.
