The Wexbury Evening Post
Flood sirens to be tested at noon on Friday
The sirens were fitted after the 2024 floods and have never been heard in anger. Friday's test checks the batteries, the radio link and whether the sound carries to the new houses on the water meadow.
The council asks residents not to ring the emergency number when they hear it, as forty did during the first test.
Wexbury's evening paper, invented: forty stories in five sections on a dense front, a wide stream of pictured stories beside a narrow rail of headlines, the paper's advertisers between them. A demonstration: Wexbury and its Evening Post are invented and the pictures are generated gradients. Built by plinth from EDN and Markdown; the stream's further pages are real pages and are also pulled in place where scripts run; the rail arrives when it nears the viewport and has a real page of its own.
