The Wexbury Evening Post
Hill climb closes Beacon Lane for three hours on Sunday
The climb has been run on the last Sunday of September since the sixties, and the record has stood since 1998. The lane is closed to cars from the mill to the top.
Spectators are asked to park at the showground and walk up, which the organisers point out is also a hill climb.
Wexbury's evening paper, invented: forty stories in five sections on a dense front, a wide stream of pictured stories beside a narrow rail of headlines, the paper's advertisers between them. A demonstration: Wexbury and its Evening Post are invented and the pictures are generated gradients. Built by plinth from EDN and Markdown; the stream's further pages are real pages and are also pulled in place where scripts run; the rail arrives when it nears the viewport and has a real page of its own.
