The Wexbury Evening Post
Castle bridge reopens after eleven months, and the first bus across is late
The bridge closed last November when a survey found the Victorian ironwork had lost a third of its strength on the downstream side. The repair replaced forty-two members and repainted the rest in the original grey-green.
The council says the bridge will carry buses and cars but not lorries over twelve tonnes, which keep to the bypass. The first bus across was late because its driver stopped to let the crowd on the parapet take their photographs.
Wexbury's evening paper, invented: forty stories in five sections on a dense front, a wide stream of pictured stories beside a narrow rail of headlines, the paper's advertisers between them. A demonstration: Wexbury and its Evening Post are invented and the pictures are generated gradients. Built by plinth from EDN and Markdown; the stream's further pages are real pages and are also pulled in place where scripts run; the rail arrives when it nears the viewport and has a real page of its own.
